Gilbarco History –
Gilbarco or Gilbarco Veeder-Root supplies many different kinds of equipment for the petroleum industry. Offering dispensers, payment systems, and point-of-sale systems to name a few. The Gilbarco 500s Encore falls under their fuel dispenser portfolio. However, much of their equipment is intertwined in fuel dispensing. Gilbarco’s headquarter in Greensboro, NC with around 4,000 employees. The company was founded in 1870 under the name Gilbert & Barker. However it wasn’t until 1929 that is was renamed Gilbarco.

The Encore family came on the market after the success Gilbarco Advantage. The Encore 300 is one of the most versatile dispensers as it offers a multitude of configurations. The Gilbarco 500s is one of the most popular dispensers as it offers more than just fuel dispensing options. The 500s offers the ability to utilize digital media, advanced secure payment options, and a simple but sleek user ability. Similar to the Encore 300 series the 500s offers all the same configurations and more. Whether you’re looking for a dispensers or suction pump. In addition it offers a more symmetrical appearance as the ECIM is located in the center of the dispenser. Where as, Encore 300s offered it left, offset, and center.
